On March 25, the Rolling Stones performed a legendary concert in the Cuban capital Havana. The first time ever appearance of a British rock band in Cuba marked the start of a new cultural era. For years, American inspired rock music was forbidden in the communist country. More than 1 million Cubans attended the free concert in Ciudad Deportivo with thousands of fans dancing in the streets of Havana.
The historical performance was recorded with 15 Sony F55 cameras in 4K. Hilversum based Broadcast Rental was chosen to provide 4 wireless camera systems for the production. The systems from Domo Broadcast (formerly Cobham) were used for transmission of the signals.
The entire Broadcast Rental crew is proud to have been part of such a historic event.
